Dear All
As i wrote previously i did a guest appearance on the new Album of Mistheria 'Dragon Fire'. I'm thrilled to let you know that i will be playing now all the guitars on 4 Tracks of the Album. The other Guitarists on the Album include George Bellas, Neil Zaza and Emir Hot. This is going to be a great Album, i'm looking very much forward working on those tracks, release is scheduled for sometime later in 2010
Furthermore we're in the middle of recording the Drums for the new Angel of Eden Album. I will meet with Dani Loeble this Saturday to finalise the Drum Tracks. Needless to say that Dani did a killer job, the drum tracks just sound plain awesome.

Dear All
Please apologise for not updating the site in such a long time. I doesn't mean i have not been active ever since, but it's definitely true that i took a little 'time out' from all this. Music is and always has been a crucial part of my life, it has been my main focus and passion in my life for the last 20 Years at least. However i needed a little break from all this, i was taking my time out for the first time for other things outside of all this, without thinking of producing a new album etc.. The Music Business is in a bad state and it can get rough and very frustrating at times, I needed that break in order to grow as a person as well as a musician. It was good and was needed, i can say that since that break i have not enjoyed doing what i do in a very long time, besides this i do have a great job in the music industry so that side was covered, just not as a active musician but looking at all this from 'the other' side, the business side.
So what i have been up to lately?
I had some live shows i have played with my long time friends of Manifest, it was fun just to play music and not have to think about business aspects, like money, ego issues etc. etc. it was just about going out there, rock out and have fun. Besides this i made a guest contribution on Mistherias New Album, probably one of the best performances of mine ever. It's gonna be released sometime this year and features John West, Mark Boals and many others, it's gonna be awesome. Furthermore i will be having a guest appearance on the next David Shankle (Ex-Manowar) Album, looking as well very much forward to doing that.
Angel of Eden:
Furthermore i just returned from Zagreb/Croatia where i was working with Mistheria www.mistheria.com on the new Angel of Eden Album. I haven't enjoyed myself in a very long time working on music as this time. It was a true pleasure working with the Maestro on these tracks, and the result speaks for itself. I wanna thank Giu and Ivana for making me feel so welcome and having such a great time in Zagreb, i apprecciate that a lot. Speaking of the Record, it's gonna be heavy, dark, symphonic, melodic. This is going to be a very intense album, i could not be more happy about the songs. It's definitely the best songs i have every been working on. Check out some pics here
As for the Drummer of the new album i'm proud and happy to announce that Dani Loeble www.daniloeble.de of Helloween will be playing the Drums. Dani is a hell of a guy as well as a truly outstanding Drummer. As for the rest of the line up, i'm still evaluating, i will let you know once everything is finalised. Release will be most likely in 2010.
Artension:
First of all, thanks to you all out there for the continuing interest in Artension. I get get lots of mails, requests on a regular basis. All i can say, that there have been talks of doing another album, but maybe it just takes some more time. However, i will be more than glad to do another album, time will tell when this will happen. Just to let you know
Most important i would like to thank my 'milacik' for everyhing. Ja lubim ta! You're the best that happened to me in a very long time. You're a true inspiration for all i'm doing, thank you for everything!

We're still working on our first record, which is gonna sound really great.
We guess that everything will be finished by the end of february. The Drums are recorded and Rami did an outstanding job. Please check this pictures from the recording sessions in Germany.

I know there has been a substantial lack of updates on my page. Sometimes things don't always go as easy as the should.
However speaking of my solo record it's in the works and I have signed a multi licensing deal with Marquee/Avalon Japan
and the Band will be called Roger Staffelbach's Angel of Eden.

Hi everyone,
I will contribute a few solos on Vitalij Kuprij's new vocal solo effort. The record will be finished by end of July, there will be some high caliber vocalists on this record, details will follow as soon as everything is confirmed and ready for release.
Furthermore i'm writing on my first Solo Record, which will also feature different vocalists 2 of them being Marco Paganini and Carsten Schulz (Domain, Evidence One) among others. I plan to start recording sessions around Sept. 05
A new Artension Record as well as a tour are in planing for sometime first half 2006.

Welcome to my Website! However ,there is still lots of stuff to be added onto this site, so please be patient and check back regularly
This is what has been happening the last couple of months.
I have been recording a song for the 'Shawn Lane tribute Vol.II' which has been released on Lion Music in July. It's a fine instrumental record featuring Alex Masi, Mistheria, Patrick Carlsson, Rob Sbar among many other highly talented musicians. I joined forces with the talents of my good friend Heinz Baumann on Drums and André Meznaric on Keys.
The Song is called 'Towards The Light 'which I wrote and dedicated to the memory of Shawn Lane who sadly passed away last year. Mp3 Sample will be online soon.
The new Artension record 'Future World' has been released in Japan on Marquee/Avalon on the 22nd of July. It was fun having the maestro back in Switzerland and we all were really working hard, as always . We're really glad with the outcome of this record.Check it out here. 'Future World' has been chosen as the record of the month in the August Issue of Burrn!! Magazine in Japan. We are negotiating for a European Release as we speak, i'll keep you updated on this.

Furthermore I've been featured again in 'Young Guitar Magazine' Japan in the August Issue, with a additional focus on my guitar and my recording equipment.
